BITS Mission: To equip laity and current Bible Instructors with ministerial tools, continual instruction and methodologies to effectively fulfill the Commission found in Mathew 28:19.
The Bible Instructor’s Training System, or BITS, is a systematic approach to equipping willing Church members to learn the fine skill of Bible Instructing while nurturing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The system helps the participants to understand that adults and children learn differently, and it’s important to work with people within their different stages of spiritual growth. Therefore designing affective methods of study that are sensitive to cultural and spiritual values is imperative. By the end of training, it is our ambition that each participant will understand the core concepts of the training systems, will know how to design affective Bible lessons, use the interactive website, effectively instruct the lessons and properly ask their students to make a decision for Christ.
Included in the program is a field day where the principles learned in the workshop can be applied in a real life setting. At the completion of your field-day, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. When you follow the steps of the program with your coach and have a Baptism, you will receive your certification as a Certified Bible Instructor. Your certification is signed by both Northern California Conference officials James E. Pedersen NCC President and Del Dunavant Director of Evangelism/Church Growth.
